What to expect
Journey Church is a Northland Kansas City Church reaching into Liberty, Gladstone, Pleasant Valley and surrounding areas. We meet Sundays at 9:30 am & 11:00 am at Shoal Creek Elementary in Liberty, Missouri.
Come on in through the main doors and there will be someone happy to introduce themselves and show you around. You can drop the kids off in the nursery or at Journey Kids. Our service for adults is held in the main gym. The service starts with a time of contemporary worship, followed by Bible-based teaching from Pastor Shawn Phillips. Kids
Although children are always welcome in the worship service with their parents, we have some great opportunities specifically designed to help them grow in the knowledge and understanding of God and the Bible.
Kids K- 5th grade can attend Journey Kids where every week is a multi-media event complete with funny videos, exciting games, scripture memory, and great music. It’s all to help kids know more about the God who created them! All of our workers are carefully screened with a thorough application and background check. Journey Kids is a safe and fun environment for your kids to learn more about God.
Family Sunday occurs the last Sunday of the month, where Journey Kids attend the service with their parents to experience worship as a family.
Journey Church Nursery, for kids 6 weeks to 4 years of age is where we lay a strong foundation of God’s love and His Word. We play, sing songs and learn about Jesus. The nursery starts accepting kids 15 minutes prior to each Sunday morning service. All of our childrens-ministry workers are carefully screened with a thorough application and a background check to provide a safe and fun environment for your children.
