REAL LIFE GROUPS

At Journey Church we know that real growth in Christ happens when we experience life together. That’s why we’d like to invite you to get involved in a Journey Church “Real Life Groups” (small groups.)

Journey Groups meet on a regular basis to develop friendships, share our lives, and work on becoming more like Christ. Some groups have starting and ending dates, and other groups meet continually to grow strong bonds of accountability and trust.  Groups will be as varied as the members of Journey.  No matter the topic groups will have a relational, spiritual and missional focus.

This is a great way to get to know people and become a part of the mission of Journey Church: To see people far from God rescued with real life in Christ. Come join a Journey Group where you can expect to experience living a real life in Christ with real people. Feel free to invite a friend as well.  If you haven’t connected yet  you are welcome to join any time.

Interested in leading a group?  If you have an interest and would like to gather people together you have the potential to lead a group.  All group leaders must complete Journey’s Next Level Track and the RLG Leader Training.  For more information contact richie@journeykc.com .

SPRING 2012

Topic & Description:  “FAITH SPEAKS” – This 5-week class is designed to help believers develop Biblical principles in their everyday walk with the Lord helping them to be more effective carrying out the great commission.    We as believers need the word in our hearts so when things arise in our lives we will have the weapons of our warfare fine-tuned to defeat anything that we may encounter.

Topic & Description:   “THE TRUTH PROJECT” – The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprised of 13 one-hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. This home study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life.  Learn more at www.thetruthproject.org .

Topic & Description:  “The Courageous Bible Study” - This study will take you deeper into biblical truths for a godly family, exploring topics such as redeeming your history, walking with integrity, winning and blessing the hearts of your children, and more.  Every session involves watching a clip from the movie Courageous to help group members engage in discussion. And daily readings from “The Resolution for Men” and “The Resolution for Women” will help you connect with God and His best plan for your family.  Workbooks cost $7.95.

Topic & Description: “Hope Faith Ministries” – Hope Faith Ministries is an equipping day center providing, through multiple in-house collaborating agencies, a centralized location for the homeless and less fortunate of Kansas City to receive targeted services to meet their emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual needs.   Be a part of this service group partnering to serve the less fortunate and impact your outlook on life.
